Our Identity is in Christ

We are here for you!

We are your neighbors and want to serve you as such! We feel very strongly that our great God can supply every need and place every person He chooses into the work being done through Carver Church (Philippians 4:19+20). We are ambassadors of God with biblical core beliefs such as:

1) Carver Church is dedicated to helping people by extending a true hand of friendship and commitment in the love of Jesus Christ with acts of service or with the supply of real needs as they present themselves to us in the community and beyond.

2) Carver Church is dedicated to accepting all people, no matter who they are or where they come from, with the understanding that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and glean from His abundant treasures of life. This does not mean that we accept sin as it is described for us in the Bible or compromise the Truth of God for the sake of being socially or politically correct. We value all people based on the Biblical precedent of John 3:16-18:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

3) Carver Church is dedicated to upholding God’s Truth as spoken in His Word, the Bible, as it relates to life in Him, death by sin, and His redemptive power to give life to all who are bound by sin and death in this world. We are in this world as strangers in a foreign land, whose home is in heaven and whose message is from God to those who will receive it. The message is that God the Father has provided a way to escape sin and death through the work of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. This we call the “Good News!” It is for all who will accept it by faith with a repentant heart.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” – Psalm 23

Pastor Seth Welcomes You!

As local entrepreneurs, my wife and I are heavily involved in the Damascus community. We also volunteer on three ministries (In Faith, Sunday School Fellowship, and Nursing Home Ministries and Prison). When we’re not at church, you can find us eating at local hole-in-the-wall restaurants, hiking the Redwoods, or exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We invite you to join us at Carver Church and bask with us in the Glory of God.

Sincerely,
Pastor Seth and Crystal
